Doctrine

A Brief Doctrinal Statement

This is by no means a complete doctrinal statement.  If you need any further explanation of doctrine, please contact us and we would be happy to answer any questions by the word of God.

  • The Bible is 100% true and correct from cover to cover.  The original texts were inspired by the Holy Spirit to men of God.  God has preserved His word for us in the King James version.  Peter 1:19-21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17"> 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 12:6-7)

  • God: there is one and only one true God manifested in three persons:   the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  These three are equal and these three are one. (1 John 5:7)

  •  Man is born a sinner and because of this sin nature, he cannot attain heaven.  (Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12)

  • Salvation is a free gift from God offered to any who will call upon Him. (Romans 10:9-13; Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • Repentance: One MUST repent to be saved.  (Luke 13:3,5; 2 Corinthians 7:9-10)

  • The Blood: We are saved by the shed blood of Jesus Christ for the payment our sin.  There is no salvation apart from the blood of Christ.  (Hebrews 9:12,22; Ephesians 1:6-7, Romans 5:9)

  • The Church: Each church is to be local, independent from each other, and has the Word of God as the only standard for all  faith and practice.  Jesus Christ is the head of the church. (Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 5:24-25)

  • Baptism is by immersion; only born again believers are candidates for baptism.  It is an outward profession of an inward conversion. (Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:4-5; Matthew 28:19-20)

  • Again, this is a simple doctrinal statement.  It is by no means inclusive.  Any questions, comments, etc. should be e-mailed to us and it will be responded to as soon as possible.

    The Bible -
    2 Peter 1:19-21
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Psalm 12:6-7 - The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

    God -
    1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

    Man -
    Psalm 51:5
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

    Salvation -
    Romans 10:9-13
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
    Ephesians

    2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

    Repentance -
    Luke 13:3
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.  v5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
2 Corinthians 7:9-10 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

    The Blood -
    Romans 5:9
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
    Ephesians 1:6-7 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Hebrews 9:12,22 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

    The Church -
    Ephesians 5:24-25
    Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Colossians 1:18  And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

    Baptism -
    Matthew 28:19-20
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Acts 8:36-39 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. 39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
Romans 6:4-5 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
